THE HIKE

so we all had President day off this last monday. Jason came up with idea of visiting the state parks he has heard about his whole life but never been too... so we took the two hour drive to the 'foothills' of the blue ridge 'mountains' to a place called pliot mountain.

this first picture is what it looks like. a big rock on top of the big hill!

There was a lot of up and down 'stairs' but the hike that was just under a mile went around the rock. which is what we wanted to do anyway. it was about 60 so not bad weather. it rained just a couple of drops

One stop at a little cave.

I THINK I CAN I THINK I CAN...
Hyrum and Samuel had to have walking sticks. they found a couple of good ones too. When Jacob got out for a bit half way through the walk he picked up a little stick that became his walking stick. he would not let go of it even to the end.

Jacob is saying 'cheese'. Jason and hyrum climbed up a bit on the rock. see the good walking stick. Hyrum actually found that one. worked perfect for Jason. We all really enjoyed ourselves and the funny thing is the kids didn't fall asleep on two hour drive home (but Jason did, at least he wasn't driving :0)
